Save The Chat helps you import virtual event chat export files and turn them into organized contact cards with AI-extracted names, emails, tags, and context summaries. This policy explains what data we handle, how we use it, and your rights.
Data You Provide
- Chat export files (.txt) from events or messaging platforms, used only to extract participant information and generate contact cards. Raw files are not stored after processing.
- Account credentials (email and auth info) used to secure your account and sync data.
How We Use Your Data
- AI extraction of contacts from uploaded chat files
- Storage of generated contact cards in your private account
- Sync across devices when signed in
- Authentication and account security
- Product reliability and bug fixes
Accuracy Disclaimer
AI can make mistakes
While we aim for high accuracy, extraction may miss participants or misread unusual formatting. Review generated cards and correct important details before relying on them.
Diagnostics and Analytics
We may collect anonymous usage and crash diagnostics through Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to improve app stability. Chat content and personal contact data are never included in diagnostics.
Data Sharing
- Infrastructure providers (such as Firebase/Google Cloud) needed to run the app
- Authorities only when legally required
We do not sell personal data.
What We Never Do
Your Choices
- Delete individual contacts or all account data in-app
- Opt out of analytics in supported device settings
- Request full deletion via email
